Nitish Kumar Reddy visited the Tirupati temple after returning to India following a terrific Border Gavaskar Series in Australia. The cricketer shared snippets from his visit to the temple in which he can be seen climbing the stairs on his knees in gratitude. The seam-bowling all-rounder, emerged as one of the biggest finds of the BGT series.

In the visualsthat has been doing rounds on social media the cricketer was given a warm reception on his return back home. Nitish seated in the front of an open jeep, with his father, Mutyalu Reddy, accompanying him. The caravan moved through the streets of Gajuwaka, Nitish’s hometown in Visakhapatnam.

Taking to X (Formerly Twitter)Nitish Kumar Reddy said that the last two months have been nothing short of an opportunity to grow, as a player and a person too. He wrote, “From setting alarms to watch Test matches in Australia to gaining a firsthand sense of the Australian shores, the last two months have been nothing short of an opportunity to grow, as a player and a person too. Not the way we wanted to end the series. We’ll be back, tougher and stronger.”

Reddy turned out to be the find of Border Gavaskar series finishing the series as the second-highest run-getter. Playing his debut series, he scored 298 runs in five matches at an impressive average of 37.25, overshadowing the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, struggling for form.  The SunRisers Hyderabad all-rounder scored a sensational hundred in the Boxing Day Test match. With the ball, Reddy picked five wickets in 44 overs, with his best figures being 2-32.
