Actress Nikki Tamboli and actor Gaurav Khanna’s feud has become one of the talking points of Celebrity Masterchef. And recently, the actress reportedly stormed off the sets after the latter poked fun at her and threw carrot peels at her. She also called his behaviour disrespectful and demanded an apology from him.
It so happened that during the shoot of an episode, Gaurav was seen indulging in a banter with Nikki, during which he threw carrot peels at her. This did not go down well with the actress, who walked out of the sets, and refused to return till the Anupamaa actor apologised.
Nikki later told ETimes, “He threw carrot peels on my face despite being clearly instructed by the director not to waste food! I have always been particular about taking a stand for myself, and I couldn’t ignore this. It wasn’t just about the mess — it was about basic respect. His actions were unprofessional and disrespectful.”
“He is not my friend that he can behave this way with me, and I won’t tolerate such behavior in a competitive setting where rules and discipline matter,” she added.
This is not the first time that Nikki and Gaurav locked horns on Celebrity Masterchef. The two have been at loggerheads ever since the reality show began and a few days ago, the actress even called Gaurav an “insecure person”.
Nikki and Gaurav are two of the Top 5 finalists of Celebrity Masterchef, along with Tejasswi Prakash, Rajit Adatia and Mr Faisu.
