Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath expressed his displeasure with the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee in a virtual meeting held on Monday. He alleged that he is not consulted on important decisions and is often not informed about the party meetings.

Kamal Nath said, “Aajkal aise chal raha hai ki appointments mein mujhse poocha tak nahi jata. Chahe kisike kehne se kisi ki appointment ho, lekin senior leaders se discuss karna chahiye. Aur meetings ki koi information nahi milti. Main akhbaar se pata karta hoon ki Congress ki meeting thi.” (These days, I’m not even consulted for appointments. Even if someone gets appointed via some reference, senior leaders should be consulted. Also, I don’t get any information about meetings. I find out from the newspapers that there was a Congress meeting.)

Former CM Digvijaya Singh and former MP Meenakshi Natarajan supported Kamal Nath’s statement. Digvijaya Singh added, “Main bhi Kamal Nath ji ki baat se sehmat hoon. Bina agenda ke meetings bulayi jati hain, aur kabhi kabhi agenda itna der se milta hai.” (I also agree with Kamal Nath Ji. Meetings are called without proper agendas, and sometimes the agenda is shared too late.)

MP Congress President Jitu Patwari responded, saying decisions are being made based on everyone’s input. He also mentioned that he would speak to Kamal Nath separately.

During the meeting, Kamal Nath and other leaders discussed the upcoming rally in Mhow on January 26.

They raised concerns about the timing, as many leaders and people would be busy with other regional events.

However, it was clarified that the date had been fixed by the AICC.
