In a heartwarming yet emotional display of duty and sacrifice, army man Prasad Bharat Kale, hailing from Kalewadi in Satara’s Khatav, left for his army duties just a day after his wedding. Prasad had taken a month’s leave to marry Vaishnavi on May 1, and the couple had begun their married life with dreams of spending time together.

However, due to the ongoing war-like situation in the country, the Indian Army canceled the leaves of all soldiers, ordering them to report for duty immediately. As the wedding ceremony was still in progress, Prasad received a message from his unit, urging him to return to duty without delay. Without a second thought, Prasad bid farewell to his bride and left to serve the nation on second day of his wedding.

He is one of many defense personnel who, after being informed that their leaves were canceled due to urgent national security needs, left for the border just after their wedding.

The cancellation of leaves and the heightened alert across the country have left many soldiers like Prasad in similar situations. Their leaves, which are already limited, are often spent not only with family but also with friends and guests. Yet, when duty calls, soldiers are prepared to set aside personal emotions and return to their posts.

The emotional parting has been difficult for Prasad’s family, especially his parents, who had hoped to spend time with their son after his wedding. The bride, too, had to say goodbye to her new husband just as they were beginning their married life. Despite the sudden departure, she showed great understanding and courage, bidding her partner farewell with a big heart.

Prasad’s dedication and his bride’s support in this emotional moment have earned them widespread admiration. Their sacrifice reflects the selfless commitment that soldiers have to their country, even at the cost of their personal happiness. This newlywed couple’s story has become a symbol of love for the nation, with people praising their unflinching resolve to prioritize national duty over personal joy.
