He said in a social media post, “We welcome Indian friends to come to China and experience an open, safe, lively and friendly China.” He also told in March that visas were issued to more than 50,000 Indians during the spring season.

In the last few months, China has simplified the visa process for Indian passengers. Now online appointment is not required, visa fee has been cut and the entire process has been intensified. The purpose of all these steps is to increase the movement of people between India and China.
