News India Live, Digital Desk: Many projects are going on fast to strengthen railway network in Uttar Pradesh. In this sequence, fast work is being done on the ambitious Khalilabad-Bahraich new railway line project of North Eastern Railway. The project will be 240 km long, which will connect five districts – Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti and Bahraich directly to the rail network.
Construction will be completed in three stages
The construction work of this new railway line from Khalilabad to Bahraich will be in three phases. The first phase will be 54.40 km from Khalilabad to Bansi, whose construction work has started. The first phase is targeted to be completed by 2027. A total of 1148 hectares of land will be used under this project.
32 stations will be on the railway line
A total of 32 stations are proposed on the new railway line, of which:
- 4 junction station
- 16 crossing stations
- 12 Holt Station
Major stations include stations like Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti and Khalilabad. The first halt station in Hansuvadol village in Balrampur district is proposed, while Balrampur railway station will be developed as a junction. 10 new stations will be built in Shravasti and Bahraich districts.
Big investment in infrastructure
Two large bridges, 32 medium bridges and 86 small bridges will also be built during the project. Also, 9 overs bridge and 132 underpasses will be constructed for the safety and convenience of passengers. This will facilitate traffic and increase the security of the railway track.
160 kmph speed
The new railway line is being developed according to the speed of 160 kmph, so that high speed trains like Vande India can be run here in future. Along with this, the work of electrification is also going on parallel.
This new railway line project in Uttar Pradesh will not only provide better and cheaper transport to backward areas with traffic facilities, but will also give impetus to the economic development of the region.
