Land Rover has introduced the New Defender OCTA in India, positioning it as the most rugged, capable, and luxurious SUV in the Defender lineup. Designed for extreme off-road adventures while maintaining premium comfort, the high-performance SUV is built to tackle any terrain with confidence. Priced at Rs 2.59 crore (ex-showroom), the Defender OCTA will soon be available for bookings. Additionally, the Defender OCTA Edition One, an exclusive launch version available for the first year of production, is priced at Rs 2.79 crore (ex-showroom) in India.
The New Defender OCTA takes performance and capability to new heights, making it the most advanced Defender yet. With an elevated ride height of 28mm and a wider stance by 68mm, the SUV offers enhanced stability and off-road prowess. It boasts an impressive 323mm ground clearance and can wade through up to 1 metre of water, surpassing previous Defender models.

Combining rugged capability with luxury, the Defender OCTA Edition One stands out with an exclusive Faroe Green exterior, premium Khaki/Ebony Ultrafabrics PU upholstery, and chopped carbon fiber detailing. The 20-inch forged alloy wheels further enhance its bold presence, reinforcing its status as a high-performance adventure SUV.
Land Rover Defender OCTA is the most powerful and extreme version of the Defender yet, featuring a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine sourced from BMW. Delivering an impressive 626 bhp and 750 Nm of torque (800 Nm in Dynamic Launch mode), it achieves a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4 seconds—making it the quickest Defender ever. Despite weighing 2.5 tonnes, the SUV’s 6D Dynamics suspension system ensures outstanding stability and control, elevating its performance both on and off the road.

Land Rover Defender OCTA introduces several firsts for the legendary SUV, enhancing both performance and comfort. It debuts the OCTA Mode, a dedicated off-road performance setting that optimizes braking and launch control for extreme terrains. The SUV features the largest brakes ever fitted to a Defender, with 400 mm discs and six-piston monobloc calipers for superior stopping power. The largest-ever tyres, developed specifically for OCTA, enhance grip across various surfaces, available with 20-inch and 22-inch alloy wheels.
