The central government has approved Rs 705 crore for the construction of 14 km long Idar-Badoli bypass in Sabarkantha district with the aim of strengthening road infrastructure in Gujarat. This four -lane bypass will reduce traffic jams in Idar city and will ensure easy and safe traffic between Mehsana and Shamlaji.
Initiative to facilitate traffic
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, saying that the project will not only give Idar relief from the problem of jam, but will also ensure better connectivity with Ambaji and Rajasthan.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced on social media and said,
“A new bypass will be developed with National Highway-168G in Sabarkantha, which will improve traffic flow and increase road safety.”
Bypass route and characteristics

Starting from Maniyar on National Highway-168G, this bypass will connect with Badoli Junction to Shamlaji Highway.

The 14.2 km long bypass route will pass through major areas like SPwada, Laloda, Savgarh Cantonment, Budhia and Vansdol.

Its construction will include two major bridges, a small bridge, one railway over bridge (ROB) and four vehicles underpass (VUP).
