Ather Energy has launched the 2025 Ather 450 series in India, introducing advanced features and updated pricing. The lineup includes the 450S, 450X, and the premium 450 Apex. Key highlights include Multi-Mode Traction Control for enhanced safety and the new MagicTwist feature, designed for easier navigation in city traffic.
The Ather 450S starts at Rs 1,29,999, while the 450X is available in two battery options: the 2.9 kWh variant priced at Rs 1,46,999 and the 3.7 kWh version at Rs 1,56,999 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru). The top-end Ather 450 Apex, equipped with the Pro Pack, is priced at Rs 1,99,999.

The 2025 Ather 450X and 450 Apex now feature advanced multi-mode traction control, designed to enhance safety and improve handling on challenging surfaces. This system adjusts the rear wheel speed to match the front during slippery conditions, ensuring better stability and grip. Riders can choose from three tailored modes: Rain Mode for optimal safety on wet roads, Road Mode for balanced performance in everyday use, and Rally Mode for controlled slip during off-road adventures. With this feature, Ather aims to offer not only enhanced safety but also improved confidence and performance across varied riding conditions.
Ather has introduced several updates in the 2025 Ather 450 series to enhance the riding experience, focusing on improved range and efficiency. The new multi-compound tyres, developed with MRF, contribute to better grip and performance, while the MagicTwist feature reduces energy loss during braking, further boosting the scooter’s range. The Ather 450X 3.7 kWh now offers a TrueRange of up to 130 km, with the 450X 2.9 kWh and 450S providing a TrueRange of up to 105 km.

Additionally, MagicTwist, which allows riders to control deceleration through throttle alone, is now available across the 2025 450X range. This feature, which also works even with a full battery, improves rider control and convenience, marking an evolution of conventional regenerative braking systems.
Ather Energy’s product lineup now includes two main categories: the Ather 450 series, which comprises the 450X, 450S, and 450 Apex models, and the Rizta range, featuring the Rizta Z and Rizta S scooters launched in 2024. The 2025 Ather 450 models are now covered under the new Eight70 warranty, offering up to 8 years or 80,000 km of coverage, along with a 70% battery health assurance for up to 8 years. To enhance the ownership experience, Ather is offering additional perks, such as bundling the 450X 2.9 kWh with the Ather Duo charger, reducing charging time from 0-80% to just 3 hours. The Ather 450 Apex will also come with Ather’s smart Halo helmet, adding extra value for buyers.
