New Delhi. You know that the maximum number of expressways in the country has been built in UP so far and preparations have also started to build the largest expressway in the state. It will start from CM City Gorakhpur. Not only this, it will start from Gorakhpur and connect to P.pat, the industrial district of Haryana. After the construction of the expressway, the distance from Gorakhpur to Haridwar can be covered in just 8 hours. This expressway will also connect two big districts of UP located on the Nepal border and a total of 22 districts will benefit from it.
The total length of this expressway to be built from Gorakhpur to P.pat will be 750 kilometers. It will be passed through Shravasti and Balrampur and will connect 22 districts of the state. It will start from Gorakhpur and reach P.pat via Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich and Shamli. The National Highway Authority has also started surveying the route to connect eastern Uttar Pradesh with the western region.
It will be easy to reach Haridwar
NHAI had earlier talked about building this expressway from Gorakhpur to Shamli and had also prepared and sent the DPR. But, now it is being considered to increase its length and it will be taken from Gorakhpur to P.pat. At present the authority is imposing route charge and after its construction, there will be uninterrupted connectivity with UP, Delhi and Haryana.
This will be the largest expressway in the state
This expressway being built from Gorakhpur to P.pat is being considered as the biggest expressway of the state. At present, the biggest expressway in UP is Ganga Expressway, whose construction work is in the final stage and it will be ready before the Mahakumbh to be held in January. The length of this expressway is 550 kilometers, whereas the new expressway to be built will be 200 kilometers longer than this.
Will be connected to Siliguri Expressway
NHAI project director Lalit Kumar Pal says that it will also be connected to the second link expressway of UP. He said that it would be taken out from the southern end of Gorakhpur city, so that it could be connected to Siliguri Expressway. This means that in the coming time, you will be able to go directly from P.pat to West Bengal by road through the expressway.
