The Uttar Pradesh government is working on a plan to settle the new city ‘New Noida’ to give a new direction to the development of the state. This step will not only promote urbanization, but will also bring remarkable development in the field of employment, infrastructure and residential facilities. Under this project, a drone survey of 80 villages will be conducted in May, which will allow accurate identification of illegal construction.

Where will be settled in New Noida?

  • This new city will come under Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Special Investment Area (DNGIR).
  • Proposed area: 209.11 sq km (2091.29 hectares)
  • This area comes under Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts.
  • A total of 800 villages have been included in the region.

Land acquisition and survey preparation

The land acquisition process has been started by the Noida administration.

  • In May, the status of 80 villages will be assessed through a drone survey.
  • The findings of the survey will be matched to the October 2024 satellite image.
  • After this, notices will be issued to the concerned people after identifying illegal construction and construction will be demolished if needed.

Survey report and action plan

  • The findings of the survey will be presented before Dr. Lokesh M, CEO of the authority as the PowerPoint Presentation (PPT).

  • There is a plan to complete the survey in 10 to 15 days and submit the report.

  • In the first phase, the land of 15 villages will be taken on the basis of mutual consent from farmers.
  • There will be talks with about 16 thousand farmer families.
