A video of Sonu Nigam has gone viral on social media in which he is seen schooling a fan who was repeatedly asking him to sing Kannada song at his Bengaluru concert. While talking to the audience at the concert, Sonu says, “Mujhe achcha nahi laga ki waha ek ladka, jitni uske umar nahi hogi usse pehle se main Kannada gaane ga raha hoon. He was so rudely threatening me, ‘Kannada, Kannada’.”

He further added, “Yahi kaaran hai, Pahalgam mein jo hua hai na. Yahi kaaran hai jo kar rahe ho, jo kiya tha na abhi. Dekho toh kaun saamne khada hai. I love Kannadigas, I love you guys.” Check out the video below…

Netizens Slam Sonu Nigam

However, netizens are upset with the singer and they are slamming him on social media. A netizen posted, “Look at this shameless #SonuNigam Riduculing a fan for requesting him to sing a Kannada song in Bengaluru and Blaming Languages for the Terrorist attack.., off-late its become fashion to blame Kannada for these Hindi jihadis for everything. When u have no seed to question the one responsible for the citizen’s safety., will find a reason to blame citizens (sic).”

Another X user wrote, “If asking for a Kannada song at a Bengaluru concert is considered anti-national, then I have no problem being labeled as one. Don’t ever set foot in our ಕನ್ನಡ ದೇಶ again. #SonuNigam (sic).”

One more netizen tweeted, “How is Pahalgam incident related to asking kannada song in Bengaluru concert ?? Why is sonu nigam Linking 2 unrelated things #StopHindiImposition (sic).” Check out the tweets below…

 Well, Sonu Nigam has not shared any statement or clarification about it. In fact, the singer, on Thursday, shared pictures from his Bengaluru concert.
