Move over, plain old vanilla flavour of an ice cream as Hyderabad has a dessert that’s kissed with gold. A viral video showcasing a gold-plated ice cream served at an eatery named ‘Huber and Holly’ has taken social media by storm. The dish was priced at ₹1,200, with netizens dubbing it the “Ambani ice cream”.

Sharing the video online, an Instagram-based food vlogger believed this to be the “most expensive ice cream” in India. The reel was shared by ‘Foodiedaakshi’, asking when netizens would treat her with this chilled dessert. The overlaid text on the video read, “Most Expensive ice cream of INDIA Batao kab khilaoge?”.

More details

The video opened with a staff holding the ice cream cone in his hands and filling it with chocolate chunks, liquid chocolate, almonds, and scoops of chocolate ice cream. He then coated it with a thick layer of cream, giving the dessert an impressive look.

The unconventional ingredient came a while later. Once the creamy layer was set, the staff dressed the ice cream with a gold foil. The dish was then embellished with other gourmet toppings.

The dessert was served not on a regular plate, but on a golden tray, amplifying its luxe appeal.

Internet reacts to viral video

The post, uploaded on March 6, has hit 10 million views, three lakh likes and hundreds of comments, sparking a flurry of reactions ranging from awe to amusement.

Netizens reacted to the post terming it the ice cream that an Indian billionaire and businessman would easily afford and enjoy. They dubbed it “Ambani ice cream”.

“Mujhe agar wo 20rs wali kulfi bhi khilade fir bhi khush ho jaungi”, read a comment. “Wow! This looks amazing”, said another.

While some admired the creativity, others expressed they would still prefer the regular ones.
