A video of a driverless autorickshaw travelling on the streets of Delhi has gone viral and stunned internet users. The footage was uploaded on Instagram by a page named ‘Delhi se sky’ in December last year, however, it has quite recently caught the attention of netizens for its bizarreness.

How could an auto drive by itself? This question has left viewers puzzled after watching the video of the vehicle running on the streets of the national capital without any driver.
The Instagram reel opened to show a Delhi auto on the roads. While it initially appeared like a usual video featuring an auto ride, things got dramatic seconds later. When the video focused on the seats of the vehicle, it captured no one sitting behind.
It is still okay to spot a vehicle without a passenger, but not without a driver. This video showed the auto moving on the road without any human intervention. No auto driver was seated in the driver’s seat, but the three-wheeler moved on the road amidst traffic.

The incident has not only raised road safety concerns but also triggered many lighthearted comments. Reacting to the social media post, users dubbed the auto “Taarzan: The Wonder Rickshaw”. This popular comment reflected on the fictional film ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’ which featured a car with autonomous driving capabilities. Many Instagram users also called it “Haunted Auto”.
A few tried to note their observations and add clarity to the driverless auto scene. “The auto is being towed guys, chill”, one said. “Notice the leaf branch?? We place that when any vehicle stops working so it’s understood that the auto is being towed”, another added.
