Netanyahu’s important decision in Gaza amidst starvation crisis, agreed to sending limited food items

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that while working on the recommendations of Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), his cabinet has agreed to allow the “basic quantity of food” of food after nearly three months of blockade in Gaza, which has reached the verge of famine, as the Palestinians have reached the brink of famine.

According to Euronwas, the move aims to facilitate the expansion of Israeli’s intensive military operations in Gaza.

This announcement has been made at a time when Israel started a new and broad ground attack in Gaza on Saturday, named “Chariot of Gidon”.

Uronwas quoted Gaza’s Health Ministry as saying that more than 100 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday itself. Due to these attacks, the main medical facility Indonesian Hospital in North Gaza also had to be closed.

Netanyahu acknowledged the urgency of avoiding famine, which the army has warned that this may lead to a comprehensive campaign against Hamas.

According to the Uronwas report, according to the integrated food safety phase classification, around five million Palestinians are already facing “horrific” hunger, and more than a million people are barely fulfilled their nutritional requirements.

Food safety experts have warned that the famine in Gaza is imminent, without blockade and military action. Details about the time and method of providing humanitarian aid are still unclear. Netanyahu insisted that the help distribution should avoid empowering Hamas, promising that the Israel would prevent the group from reaching any supply, as Euronwas has reported.
The current military campaign, which is the largest after the break -up of the ceasefire in March, wants to control the region and displace a large number of Palestinians. Also, the ceasefire talks continue.

Israel is pressurizing for a temporary ceasefire focusing on freeing the hostages, but not necessarily ending the conflict. However, Hamas wants a clear way to fully return and end the war as part of any agreement.

According to Euronwas, quoting Gaza’s Health Ministry, since the breakdown of the previous ceasefire, more than 3,000 Palestinians have been killed.

The conflict began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a stunning attack on Southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people, most of which were citizens, and 251 hostage. Hamas is believed to have held 57 people hostage at present, out of which 22 are likely to be alive.

According to data from Hamas -run officials, more than 50,000 people have been killed in Gaza as a result of the post -Israeli military reaction. According to the Israeli army report, 856 soldiers have been killed since the fight began.
