National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the syllabus of NEET UG 2025. The Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) has approved the syllabus for 2024 only. This time also questions will be asked from a total of 79 chapters of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from class 11th and 12th. The thing to note is that this time also “Digestive System” and “Tissue” Questions from important topics will not be included.

NEET UG exam will be conducted on 4th May 2025. This exam is mandatory for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Nursing and other UG medical courses.

Exam Pattern and Marking Process

  • The exam will be of total 720 marks.
  • Each correct answer will get 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer (negative marking).
  • A total of 200 questions will be given from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
  • Out of these, students will have to solve 180 questions.
  • In each subject:
    • Section A: 35 questions (all compulsory)
    • Section B: 15 questions (any 10 to be answered)

Total time for exam 3 hours 20 minutes will be.

Admission through NEET UG 2025

Through NEET UG 2025, admission will be available in courses like MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). Currently, more than 1.10 lakh seats are available for MBBS in medical colleges across the country.
