The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the date of NEET PG 2025 exam. This year NEET PG 2025 will be held on 15 June 2025. The examination will be held in computer based test (CBT) mode and will be conducted in two shifts.

According to the official notice of NBEMS, all important information related to the exam and updates will be made available from time to time on the official website of NBEMS.

NBEMS has said in its notice that,
“NEET-PG 2025 Examination will be held on 15 June 2025 in Computer Based Test (CBT) format.

This means that candidates should keep an eye on the website of NBEMS regularly for updates related to the exam.

Exam Pattern: What will be the format?

The total time of NEET PG 2025 exam will be 3 hours 30 minutes. This exam will be conducted in English language.

Paper format

  • Total Question: 200 (MCQ – Multiple Essential Questions)
  • Partition: The examination will be divided into three parts – A, B and C.
  • Number system:
    • There will be 4 marks for each correct answer.
    • There will be a negative marking of 1 digit for the wrong answer.
    • No marks will be deducted on the questions that will be left.
  • Total marks: 800

Good preparation and smart time management will be required to pass NEET PG exam.

Qualifying Marx: How many marks are required to pass?

The qualifying marks for the NEET PG exam have been set separately according to the category.

Category Qualifying percentile (%)
General / EWS 50%
SC / ST / OBC 40%

This means that General and EWS candidates will have to score at least 50 percent marks, while 40 percent marks are mandatory for SC, ST and OBC category.

When was NEET PG last year?

The NEET PG exam is conducted every year for admission in MD, MS, DNB and diploma courses.

The date of NEET PG 2024 exam was first fixed on 23 June, but later it was postponed till August 11.

  • The examination was held at 416 examination centers in 170 cities.
  • The examination was held in two shifts.
  • The result of the examination was released on 23 August.
  • 2,28,540 candidates appeared in the examination.

This year too, a large number of candidates are expected to appear in this examination.
