Thane (Maharashtra) [India], November 15 (.): Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda on Friday criticised the Congress for repeatedly demanding proof of the surgical strike, stating that in opposing the NDA, the Congress has started opposing the country.
“The 26/11 attack happened here in Mumbai. The UPA government kept going to Pakistan with dossiers. Biry. was served to Kasab. However, after the Uri incident, within 15 days, PM Modi conducted a surgical strike. Similarly, after Pulwama, an air strike was carried out within 15 days, and Pakistan couldn’t utter a single word. Yet, here in our country, Congress leaders were asking for proof. NDA ka virodh karte karte ye (Congress) desh ka virodh karne lage (While opposing the NDA, Congress started opposing the country),” Nadda said at an intellectuals’ meeting in Thane.
Nadda highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the nature of politics by focusing on development and advocating for the country’s progress.
“At one point, politics was synonymous with appeasement, divide and rule, misleading the public, and corruption. However, Modi ji has redefined politics by linking it to development and prioritising the nation’s progress,” he said.
He also criticised the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, accusing it of stalling key infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, including the Mumbai Metro, Dharavi redevelopment, Bullet Train, Coastal Road, Pune Outer Link Road, and Navi Mumbai Airport.
“The Aghadi government stopped the Mumbai Metro project, redevelopment of Dharavi, Bullet Train, Coastal Road, Pune Outer Link Road, and Navi Mumbai Airport. They even went to court against the Ladki Bahin Yojana. On the 20th, you need to stop Aghadi,” he urged voters.
Nadda emphasised that the central government is pro-poor, pro-women, pro-farmers, and pro-youth, describing it as accountable and responsive.
“This government represents a cultural and political shift. The Congress party never valued its m.festos and often reused old ones in elections. In contrast, under Modi Ji’s leadership, the politics of report cards has emerged. On every platform, Modi Ji provides an account of his government’s achievements,” he added.
Earlier today, JP Nadda visited a Gurudwara in Thane, Maharashtra, on the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Jayanti.
“Today, on the occasion of the 555th Prakash Parv of the first Guru and founder of Sikhism, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, I had the privilege of paying obeisance and receiving blessings at Gurudwara Shri Dashmesh Darbar in Thane, Maharashtra. On this occasion, we prayed to Waheguru Ji for the progress, prosperity, and welfare of the country. Satnam Shri Waheguru!” Nadda posted on X.
Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as ‘Gurpurab,’ is a sacred festival celebrating the birth anniversary of the first Guru of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev.
Maharashtra will head to the polls on November 20, with votes to be counted on November 23. (.)
