On behalf of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), a heartfelt tribute was paid on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day at the amphitheater of the municipal headquarters. This event was organized to honor the supreme sacrifice of great freedom fighters—Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev—who laid down their lives for India’s independence.
About The Tribute Ceremony
The tribute ceremony was conducted in the presence of municipal officials and employees, with Deputy Commissioner of the Administration Department, Sharad Pawar, leading the homage by offering floral garlands to the portraits of the revered martyrs. The event served as a moment of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by these brave revolutionaries in the struggle against British rule.
Through this event, NMMC reaffirmed its commitment to remembering and honoring the valor and dedication of those who fought selflessly for the nation’s freedom.
“The gathering witnessed the participation of various officials, staff members, and dignitaries, all uniting in their respect and admiration for the martyrs. The tribute reinforced the values of patriotism, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the nation, inspiring everyone present to uphold the ideals for which these heroes fought,” said an official.
