“The Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial is a distinguished knowledge monument in our country. Given the significance of April 14, we have planned a series of educational programs throughout April to honor Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy,” said Dr. Kailas Shinde. “A large number of citizens will visit the memorial, and our priority is to ensure proper cleanliness, beautification, and necessary arrangements for them.”
A key highlight of the preparations includes repainting the book-shaped entrance of the memorial’s library, a directive specifically given by the Commissioner. “The memorial is a place of great historical and intellectual importance. It is our duty to ensure that visitors have a dignified and comfortable experience,” he added.
Officials have also been instructed to monitor crowd management and ensure adequate facilities, including sanitation, lighting, and security, are in place during the celebrations.
The NMMC’s proactive measures aim to uphold the memorial’s reputation and offer visitors a fitting tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. The civic body urges citizens to participate in the upcoming educational events and celebrate the architect of the Indian Constitution with reverence and respect.
