Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced the change of names of 11 villages of Madhya Pradesh. These 11 villages are from Shajapur district, and their names have been inspired by Islam.
In most of the names, words with Islamic references like Hussainpur of Mohmmadpur have been replaced by the Hindu god’s name, Ram.
According to information, Nipania Hisamuddin will be renamed as Nipania Dev, Mohammadpur Pawadia as Rampur Pawadia, Khajuri Allahadad as Khajuri Ram, and Dhabla Hussainpur village will be renamed as Dhabla Ram. CM Mohan Yadav made this announcement while addressing a programme organised in the Kalapipal tehsil of Shajapur district.

Changing names of the cities, local places have become a part of the BJP tradition. In 10 years of BJP government, names of several places that were inspired by Islam have been changed.
For instance, Allahabad was renamed as Prayagraj. Similarly, Bhopal’s Habibganj railway station is now called Rani Kamlapati railway station.
