After the violence in Nagpur, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken a tough stand and made it clear that the damage to public property will be made from the rioters. If they do not pay, their property will be confiscated and the bulldozer will also be run if needed.

Fadnavis has confirmed the arrest of 104 people in the case, and said that arrests would continue on the basis of CCTV footage and digital evidence.

Chief Minister Fadnavis bluntly said that those who spread violence will not be spared under any circumstances.

He also said that the intelligence system was completely active, but it could be further strengthened.

Rumor of molestation of women policemen rejected

Some media reports claimed that women policemen were molested during the violence. But the Chief Minister termed this claim wrong.

On March 17, there were incidents of violence and arson in many areas of Nagpur.
