A Lucknow Super Giants fielder broke the stumps as he affected a run-out during their intra-squad practice match ahead of IPL 2025. In a video shared by the franchise on their social media handles on March 20, Thursday, the fielder’s electrifying throw saw one of the stumps at the non-striker’s end break in half.
The incident occurred when leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was bowling and Abdul Samad hit the ball to mid-off and ran to pinch a quick single. With Bishoni allowing the ball to hit the stumps, it not only struck the wicket but also broke one of them in half. However, the Super Giants’ social media handle kept the fielder’s name a mystery.
