Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To register their protest against amendment in Waqf Bill, large number of Muslims offered last Jumma Namaz of Ramzan by sporting black arm bands in Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Raisen etc. They accused the Central government of pitching for amendment to usurp Waqf properties.
In the meantime, two Muslim groups clashed with each other over issues of fastening black ribbons on arms. BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma has taken a dig over the development by saying that only four to ten families are earning through Waqf properties and such could not be allowed.
Crores of Muslims are running from pillar to post to earn their livelihood. They are repairing punctured tyre, pulling handcarts, working as scrapper. They don’t have houses, nor they have education and resources for treatment.
If PM Narendra Modi is thinking for their welfare then what wrong is he doing. He added that those big Muslim leaders who do politics in the name of Muslims will have stomach ache and a digestive pill will be given to them for treatment.
He opined that it is a Mithi Eid (Sweet Eid) and Muslim leaders shall speak sweet. He said that lakhs of acres of land is with Waqf and houses for poor Muslims shall be constructed along with building schools, colleges, hospitals on it. Muslims wore black arm bands on the call of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIPMLB).
