Adani Group’s company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) set a unique record in March 2025. The company has handled the most cargo volume ever in this financial year (FY25). With this, Mundra Port has become the first port in India to handle more cargo than 200.7 million metric tons (MMT) in a year.

 

Cargo handling will be held at record level in March 2025

Adani Ports operated a total of 41.5 MMT cargo in March 2025, showing an increase of 9% year-on-year. At the same time, the container volume has recorded an annual growth of 19%. Liquid and gas cargo increased by an annual 5%. The largest port of Adani Ports, Mundra Port, has become the first port in the country to handle 200.7 MMT cargo in FY 2025. This achievement shows the rapid growth of logistics and trade expansion in India.

The Vizhinjam port also performed well.

Vijhinjam Port of Adani Ports in Kerala has also operated 1 lakh TEU containers in March, a major achievement for the Adani Group. This historic performance of Adani Ports reflects the strength of the logistics region of India. This achievement will not only benefit the Adani Group, but will also strengthen the port and logistics sector of India. Adani Ports are planning to further increase their cargo handling capacity in the coming months. The company expects further increase in its cargo handling.
