Just like they celebrated Christmas with love and kindness, Mumbaikars are all set to celebrate the New Year’s Eve with music, thrill and excitement with around 164 events listed in the city. However, as parties to welcome New Year 2025 are attracting people with varied themes and genres, they have also turned expensive with the entry charges ranging to as high as Rs 1 lakh.

As Mumbaikars are known to welcome the New Year in the most enthralling way, organisers have made sure that the party heads can ring in 2025 in the most exciting way. The city will witness glamorous beach parties to electrifying club parties which will serve multi cuisine food, extravagant drinks and a varied genres of music. According to BookMyShow, a total of 165 events have been organised in Mumbai on December 31. These parties are based on themes like Bollywood, EDM Music, Rooftop setting, beach camping, bonfire camping and many more.

However, these parties providing glamorous celebrations with glitz, glamour and gourmet goodness, also come at a cost which are exorbitant. The entry changes for these parties start from as little as Rs999 and go up to as high as Rs 2 Lakh.

“Midnight At Moulin Rogue” organised at World of Craft in Phoenix Palladium offers non-stop music for the entire night, dance performances, decadent delights and live entertainment, starts its price range from Rs 2,000 for female stag entry to Rs 2 Lakh for a platinum ticket. ‘A Qey Affair’ at Qey Mumbai, which offers “an unforgettable night of music, dance and celebration” is charging Rs 6,000 for Solo Standing which rises up to Rs 1.75 lakh for a table.

Similarly, NYE Bash in Mazgaon’s Bayview Lawns, which is Mumbai’s biggest new year celebration according to its organiser NoVa NeXus, will feature foreign DJs to keep the guest dancing all night. Their entry pass also ranges from Rs 999 to Rs 1.75 Lakh for VIP Gold Pass. ‘The Final Fling’ at K Divine Lawns and Convention in Borivali (W) will feature Sunny Leone as the DJ and the ticket prices are as high as Rs 85,000.

“Our party tickets are cover charges which include food, drinks and other entertainment provided by us. We do not charge any extra penny until the bill amounts less than or equal to the cover charge paid. Our most expensive category is a Gold Category Table which costs Rs1 Lakh for four people. It can be used by a single guest as well but they need to pay the entire charge,” said an organiser on condition of anonymity.

On the other side of Mumbai’s clubbing culture are its less known party spots which are not very popular but attract a very niche audience. “New Year’s Eve, By The Beach” at Estella Juhu Beach will host an open air party under the stars from 9pm till the first light of dawn. Participants can choose from packages starting from Rs7,000 for a female stag entry to Rs 15,000 for a couple. Similarly, beach camping prices in Alibaug start from Rs 3,500 and Neon Party at Wet N Joy Water Park in Lonavala are ticketed at an approx price of Rs2,500.
