Mumbai: Mumbai Police have implemented extensive security measures to ensure the peaceful and safe celebration of Chaitra Navratri (Gudi Padwa) on Sunday and Ramzan Eid on Monday. A significant police presence has been deployed across the city to maintain law and order during the festivities.

As part of the arrangements, seven Additional Commissioners of Police, 17 Deputy Commissioners (DCPs), 50 Assistant Commissioners (ACPs), 1,982 police officers, and 11,820 constables have been assigned to various locations. In addition, Special Reserve Police Force (SRPF) platoons, the Rapid Action Force (RAF), the Riot Control Squad, Delta Force, Combat Teams, and Home Guards will remain on high alert to strengthen security.

Both festivals will be celebrated with enthusiasm across Mumbai. On Gudi Padwa, Hindu communities will organize pujas, prayers, processions (Shobha Yatra), and palkhis, while large gatherings for Namaz will take place at mosques and dargahs on Ramzan Eid. The police have made arrangements to manage crowds and prevent any untoward incidents during these events.

Mumbai Police have also issued an advisory to citizens, urging them to cooperate with law enforcement, exercise patience in crowded areas, and report any suspicious or unattended objects immediately. Officials have emphasized the importance of following safety guidelines to ensure smooth and secure celebrations.

For any emergencies, citizens can contact the Mumbai Police Helpline at 100 or 112. A senior police official stated that all necessary precautions have been taken and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any unusual activities.
