Mumbai, April 13: Mumbai Police issued a special traffic advisory for the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, which will be observed on Monday (April 14). A massive crowd of followers is expected to visit Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar to observe the day. Mumbai Police has issued traffic advisory for smooth flow of traffic amid massive crowd visiting Dadar located in the heart of the city.

The traffic regulation will be in effect from 12:00 PM on April 13 to 12:00 midnight on April 14, 2025.

Roads Closed or Made One-Way

S.K. Bole Road will be one-way from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church. No entry will be allowed in the reverse direction.

S.V.S. Road from Siddhivinayak Junction to Yes Bank Junction will be closed to all vehicles. Local residents can use Pandurang Naik Marg (Road No. 5).

Ranade Road and Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road (from S.V.S. Road to Dadar Chowpatty) will be completely closed to vehicles.

Heavy vehicles, including goods trucks and tempos (except BEST buses), will be diverted from Mahim Junction via L.J. Road.

Suggested Alternate Routes

In case of heavy traffic congestion:

South-bound traffic from Western Express Highway should turn left at Kalanagar Junction, pass through Dharavi T Junction, and continue via 60 ft Road and Kumbharwada to reach Kemkar Junction.

North-bound traffic from Colaba or CSMT should turn at Sion Hospital and use Dr. B.A. Road or take Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

Vehicles from Mahalaxmi via Dr. E. Moses Road should turn at Rakhangi Chowk and proceed via Senapati Bapat Road.

Vehicles from Eastern Express Highway can travel via Wadala Bridge, Barkat Ali Naka, BPT Colony, and continue on the Eastern Freeway.

No Parking Zones

Parking will not be allowed on the following roads:

S. Veer Savarkar Road (Century Junction to Yes Bank Junction)

Ranade Road

Keluskar Road (North and South)

Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road

Designated Parking Areas

Visitors may use these parking spots:

Senapati Bapat Road (from Mahim and Dadar)

India Bull Finance Center, Elphinstone (PPL)

Kohinoor Square, Shivaji Park (PPL)

Kamgar Stadium, Senapati Bapat Road

India Bulls Center, Jupiter Mill Compound, Elphinstone (PPL)

Five Garden, RAK 4 Road

This order was issued by Samadhan Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ & Central), Traffic, Mumbai, under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, to ensure public safety and smooth traffic movement during the event.
