Mumbai Indians (MI) put on a clinical performance to defeat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 9 wickets in a high-stakes IPL clash at the Wankhede Stadium. After winning the toss and opting to bowl, MI restricted CSK to 176/5 in their 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja anchored the innings with a composed 53 off 35 balls, smashing 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. Shivam Dube provided a powerful boost in the middle overs with a quickfire 50 off 32 balls, which included 2 fours and 4 sixes. Jasprit Bumrah led the MI bowling attack with a brilliant spell, finishing with figures of 2 for 25 in his 4 overs.

In response, MI openers set the tone early, and the chase was steered confidently by Rohit Sharma, who scored a composed 76 off 45 deliveries, featuring 4 boundaries and 6 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav added flair to the innings with his explosive 68 off just 30 balls, hitting 6 boundaries and 5 sixes. The team reached the target in style, finishing at 177/1 and sealing the win with plenty of balls to spare. For CSK, Ravindra Jadeja was the most effective bowler, claiming 1 wicket for 28 runs in his 3 overs. However, the bowling unit struggled to contain MI’s aggressive batting lineup.
