Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by eight runs to win the final match. With this, Mumbai once again managed to win the Women’s Premier League title. The title match of the third edition of the tournament was played at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday. In this match, Mumbai lost the toss and scored 149 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. In response, Delhi’s team could only manage 141 runs for nine wickets in the scheduled overs. Thus Mumbai won the title for the second time. Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur’s team won the trophy by defeating Delhi in the final of the first edition.

Chasing a target of 150 runs, Delhi did not get support from its batsmen. The team lost four wickets for just 44 runs. Captain Meg Lanning scored 13 runs and Shefali Verma was dismissed for just four runs. Amelia Carr then caught Jess Jonasen out of Yastika Bhatia. She could only score 13 runs. Marjan Cap scored 40 runs for Delhi.
Apart from this, Jemima Rodriguez scored 30 runs. Along with this, Annabelle Sutherland scored two runs, Sara Bryce scored five runs and Minnu Mani scored four runs. Nikki Prasad remained unbeaten after scoring 25 runs and Mr. Charani. Net sewage brart took three wickets for Mumbai while Amelia Carr took two wickets. While Shabnam Ismail, Heli Mathews and Sika Ishaq got one success each.
