Indore: Mumbai Girl Dies As Speeding Car Crashes Into Divider, Friend Sustained Severe Injuries | Representational Image

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A young woman from Mumbai was killed while her male friend succumbed to injuries after their speeding car crashed into a divider under Azad Nagar police station limits in the wee hours on Tuesday.

Girl died on spot, friend sustained injuries

The incident occurred near Prabhu Toal Kanta on Nemawar Road around 4 am when they were going towards Teen Imli Square. The girl died on the spot while her friend sustained injuries.

The entire incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the spot in which the car was seen speeding and crashing into the divider.

Deceased was a native of Mumbai

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Payal alias Nadia Sheikh, a native of Mumbai. She was staying with her male friend Chetan Sisodiya in Gulmohar Colony. They were going towards Teen Imli Square from Kanadiya when they met with the accident.

Driver was under the influence of alcohol

As per the report, Chetan was speeding under the influence of alcohol and crashed into the divider. However, he claimed that the sudden wheel burst led to the loss of vehicle control and caused the accident.

The police launched a probe to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and sent the body for autopsy.
