Mumbai: In a major breakthrough, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police has made the eighth arrest in the ₹122 crore New India Cooperative Bank scam. The accused, Rajiv Ranjan Pandey (45), was apprehended from Jharkhand by an EOW team.
According to EOW officials, Rajiv Ranjan Pandey played a key role in the multi-crore scam. After receiving concrete information about his whereabouts, the EOW team launched a search operation in Jharkhand and successfully arrested him. He is now being brought to Mumbai for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
