Mumbai: Mumbai Crime Branch has made a significant revelation in its chargesheet filed before the special MCOCA court regarding the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. According to the chargesheet, a key eyewitness, identified the three shooters involved in the assassination.

After the arrest of the accused, the Crime Branch conducted an identification parade where Key Witness confirmed the identities of Shiv Kumar Gautam, Gurmel Singh, and Dharmaraj Kashyap as the assailants.

This identification has provided conclusive evidence linking the trio to Siddiqui’s murder. Detailed records of the identification parade and Witness’s statement have been submitted as crucial evidence in the chargesheet.

Police Protection for Key Witness:

Following the identification and the critical role of the eyewitness, police have provided 1 police personanel for 12 hours as security to Key witness after he has received two death threat call.

After the murder, Witness reportedly received two times death threats and was demanded to pay ₹5 crore. He subsequently registered a complaint at Khar Police Station, which is currently investigating the threats. But, police unable to trace out contact numbers, which were use for threat.

Authorities suspect the involvement of the Bishnoi gang in issuing the threats and the extortion demand, though investigations are ongoing.

This breakthrough further strengthens the case against the accused, ensuring their direct connection to the high-profile murder, while police continue efforts to secure all witnesses involved.
