MTNL and BSNL earned ₹ 12,984.86 crore from 2019
In the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Communications Pemmasani Chandrashekhar on Wednesday revealed that from 2019 to January 2025, BSNL and MTNL have grossed ₹ 12,984.86 crore from the monetization of land, buildings, tower and fiber.
- BSNL raised ₹ 2,387.82 crore from the sale of land and buildings.
- MTNL similarly received revenue of ₹ 2,134.61 crore.

- Minister of State for Communications Pemmasani Chandrashekhar clarified in Parliament that the central government is not going to privatize BSNL and MTNL.
- Last month, the government approved an additional capital expenditure scheme of ₹ 6,982 crore for BSNL.
- The government sanctioned ₹ 6,000 crore for expansion of BSNL and MTNL’s 4G network.
