A huge roar erupted at the Ekana International Stadium as Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni had won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), citing the dew factor. Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni will try his luck for the second time in IPL 2025 to revive their sinking campaign as they face the high-flying Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14, Monday at the Ekana International Stadium. This will be the second consecutive home game for the Super Giants and they will target their fifth victory.
The Super Kings, five-time champions, are currently at the bottom of the points table, and delivered one of their worst performances against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) that resulted in an eight-wicket loss. Their batting approach, especially in the powerplay, needs a massive reset and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s fractured elbow have only made things worse for the Yellow Army.
Meanwhile, the Super Giants have now won four matches out of their six in the tournament, with the latest coming against the Gujarat Titans on Saturday. It remains to be seen if Mitchell Marsh will be available for the clash as he didn’t play against the Gujarat Titans due to his daughter’s illness.
