Dhoni was born in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, but his family is from Almora district of Uttarakhand. Dhoni’s father Paan Singh used to work in Macon, Ranchi and due to this he settled here. While Sakshi Singh Rawat was a resident of Kolkata.
Sakshi’s father and Dhoni’s father worked in Macon and were friends. So Dhoni and Sakshi also knew each other since childhood. They used to study together in Ranchi school as well. However later Sakshi Singh’s family settled in Dehradun.
Sakshi shifted to Dehradun with her family. About 10 years later, in the year 2007, Dhoni and Sakshi met once again in Kolkata.
