Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradhyumn Singh Tomar informed that Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) has strengthened and made the power transmission system of the Nimar region more reliable by directly connecting the 400 kV substation at Chhaigaon with the Singaji Thermal Power Station and 400 kV Julwania.

Tomar stated that MP Transco has integrated the 400 kV transmission line going from Singaji Thermal Power Station to Julwania with Chhegaon using the “Line-In Line-Out” (LILO) technique. This development has enabled Chhegaon to emerge as a major load center in the Nimar region.

Previously, Chhegaon substation received electricity from Singaji Thermal Power Station via Julwania. With this new direct connection, power supply will become more flexible and robust. This new setup has been established at a cost of approximately Rs. 10.65 crore. The Energy Minister congratulated MP Transco for this significant achievement.

Success Due to In-depth System Study by Executive Engineer Hitesh Tiwari

The development of Chhegaon as the main load center of the Nimar region was greatly supported by the in-depth study of the transmission system carried out by Executive Engineer Hitesh Tiwari, posted at MP Transco Headquarters, Jabalpur. He not only conducted the system study but also actively contributed in planning and cost estimation of the project. His efforts were key to the project’s success.

Hitesh Tiwari informed that with the direct power supply from Singaji Thermal Power Station, consumers connected to the 220 kV substations at Nimrani and Nepanagar, and the 132 kV substations at Chhaigaon Makhan, Mundi, Khandwa, Khargone, Andad, Singot, Barwaha, Sanawad, Pandhana, Bhikangaon, Jhirniya, and Lift Irrigation Feeder at Dongargaon will benefit. Additionally, the Chhegaon substation will have an alternative 400 kV power source, making the supply more stable and reliable.
