The 2-day Global Investors Summit garnered ₹4,468 Crore investment proposals for Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism & Hospitality sector.
During the event, the Union Minister of Tourism emphasized that Madhya Pradesh has everything a tourist can wonder to explore…from Mountains to Waterfalls, Historical sites to rush green Forests, Religious sites to developed cities. Let’s see the diversity, heart of India encapsulates.
Mahakaleshwar Temple, located in Ujjain, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense religious significance. MP also has Omkareshwar jyotirling in Khandwa district.
Indore’s famous Khajrana Ganesh Temple was built by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. The temple is a major spiritual and cultural landmark, which attracts devotees from across the country.
Patalpani is a breathtaking waterfall located near Indore. At the height of 300 feet, it is surrounded by lush greenery and rocky cliffs, making it a popular picnic and trekking destination.
Bhedaghat, located near Jabalpur, is famous for its stunning marble rock formations along the Narmada River.
Mandu, also known as Mandav, is famous for its breathtaking architecture, scenic landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. Mandu is home to iconic monuments like Jahaz Mahal, Rani Roopmati Pavilion, and Baz Bahadur Palace.
Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Madhya Pradesh, is renowned for its stunning group of Hindu and Jain temples with intricate erotic sculptures.
Bhimbetka is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for its prehistoric cave paintings, some of which date back over 30,000 years.
Gwalior Fort, often called the ‘Gibraltar of India,’ is a hilltop fort in Gwalior. With a history dating back to the 6th century, it has been ruled by various dynasties – Tomars, Mughals, and Scindias.
Spread across 940 sq km, Kanha National is considered most well-preserved wildlife reserves. It houses, Royal Bengal Tigers, Barasingha (swamp deer), Leopards, Sloth bears, and many more species.
Panna Tiger Reserve is known for its successful tiger conservation efforts. The reserve is home to diverse wildlife, including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and over 200 bird species.
Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi was also impressed with and hailed Madhya Pradesh for it’s beauty and kind people. In fact he said he will plan a jungle trip with his family in MP.
