Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A social activist has sent memorandum to the President of India and Prime Minister Office (PMO) seeking intervention into the Enemy Property issue in Bhopal. Social activist Amitabh Agnihotri, in his memorandum, sent via mail, highlighted the alleged lacunas and missing records related to Enemy Property in Bhopal.
Responding to the memos, the offices of the President and PM have forwarded the matter to Madhya Pradesh PS (revenue) and Bhopal collector for further action, said the activist. I
n 2017, the then principal secretary (revenue) Mala Shrivastava, in her report to High Court had stated that 68.5 acre in Halalpur, 102.35 acre in Borevan, 123.4 acre in laukhedi, 255.45 acre in Bhopal urban area were registered under the names of Hamidullah Khan, Aftaf Jahan Begum and Abida Sultan.

Agnihotri through his memorandum has sought to know if the said properties have been registered as enemy property. The memorandum also mentions 18 khasra numbers registered in names of Rohini Devi Fedrik in Sewania Gond areas.
He further mentioned that records from 2005-2010 are available in Bhopal collectorate, but documents from other years are missing. He further alleged that despite notices, Bhopal collector did not take any action in the last 14 years due to ‘political pressure’.
The memorandum further stated that notices were issued to 8 villages out of 13 villages that were merged but no action has been taken against -Nayapura, Chhola, Koh-e-Fiza and Dharampuri(Shyamla Hills).
