MP Shocker! MP Man Gets Brother-In-Law Drunk, Axes Him To Death & Dumps Body In Canal; Police Launch Search | Representative Image
Datia (Madhya Pradesh): In a bone-chilling incident reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district, a man axed his brother-in-law to death after making him intoxicated and then threw his body in a canal, as reported by police on Tuesday.
According to information, the incident occurred around 9:30 pm in Goraghat police station area of Datia district on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Surendra Kanjar.
According to the police, Surendra needed ₹50,000 and went to his brother-in-law, Dilip Kanjar, for help. Dilip had promised to lend him the money. However, it is alleged that Dilip, along with Suresh Kanjar and his four sons, first got Surendra drunk. Later, they took him near a canal, attacked him with an axe, and killed him before dumping his body in the water.
The police have registered a case and the accused who are on the run at present. However, police are actively searching for them.
Accused also held eyewitness hostage
According to an eyewitness Pawan, the accused also held him hostage and threatened to kill him if he revealed the crime to anyone. However, Pawan managed to escape and informed Surendra’s family about the incident. The family then reported the matter to the police.
ASP Sunil Shivhare stated that as soon as the police received the information, they reached the crime scene and started searching for the body in the canal.
The investigation is ongoing at present, and efforts are being made to track down the accused.
