Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A final-year MBBS student was allegedly raped by her senior doctor in the boys hostel of the medical college in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior.
The accused was identified as Dr. Sanjay Kumar Ivane. He is currently absconding.
The incident happened on Sunday. The next day, the victim approached the Kampoo police station and filed a complaint. A case has been registered against the accused, and police initiated the investigation.
According to information, a 25-year-old final year MBBS student from Datia reached Gwalior on Sunday for her supplementary exam. After the examination, he met her senior, doctor Sanjay Kumar Ivane at the college.
The duo started talking when the accused called her up to his room in the boy’s hostel on pretext of some work. The victim agreed to her senior’s instructions and followed him, without knowing his evil intention. As they reached the room, Ivane shut the door, pushed her and allegedly raped her.
When she raised an alarm, he threatened to kill her.
After the incident, the victim then went to the Kampoo police station and complained about him. The police after receiving the complaint, registered a case against the accused doctor and started searching for him.
Further investigations are underway.
