Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A man allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior after the molestation case lodged against him was not withdrawn.
The accused was released on bail recently after the initial complaint of molestation. Following his release, he threatened the victim and her family to withdraw the complaint.
The accused was identified as Rajkumar Chaudhary, resident of Kotwali area.
Despite the warning, the victim’s family refused. He then allegedly raped the minor. Upon receiving the information, the police arrested the accused again.
According to information, Rajkumar Chaudhary tried to molest the 12-year-old some time ago. The victim’s family then lodged a complaint in the Kotwali police station and police arrested him. When he was released on bail, he threatened the girl and her family and asked them to withdraw the case.
However, the victim’s family stood strong and refused to take their complaint back. He then allegedly raped the girl. The family then complained about him again at the Kotwali police station. Acting swiftly, the police then arrested the accused.
Case registered
The police have registered a case against him under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and other relevant sections of BNS. The police assured the victim’s family that strict actions will be taken against him.
