Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident has been reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Alirajpur, where a 3-year-old girl and her 18-months-old sister consumed phenyl kept in the bathroom on Wednesday night. Both died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Diher Meda (3) and Shanvika Meda (1.5), residents of a village Bavdi.
The police have sent the bodies for the post-mortem. Further details can only be revealed after the report of post-mortem is released.
According to information, Diher and Shanvika were playing in their house on Wednesday night. They both went to the bathroom of the house and found a bottle of phenyl. Without realising the fact that phenyl is a hazardous cleaning agent, they consumed it.
After sometime, they fell unconscious. When their parents saw them with an empty bottle of phenyl, got panicked and rushed them to the nearby hospital. The doctors declared them dead. The incident has sent shockwaves to the community over loss of these small girls.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and registered a case. The police then sent the bodies for post-mortem. Further details are awaited.
It is being told that these girls had consumed pesticides on Rakshabandhan too. Their lives were saved then.
