Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): Two men were electrocuted to death after accidentally touching the wires spread to prevent crops from animals in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Both the men were returning from work in the night when the accident happened.
They were residents of the Narwar village of Umaria and worked in a resort.
The electric shock was so strong that both of them died on the spot. Villagers saw the bodies entangled in the wires near the fields and informed their families and police.
Current spread to save vegetables
After getting information about the death of the youths, the relatives reached the spot. The police was later informed about this incident.
It is said that vegetables are being cultivated in the fields around the forest. Animals in the forest destroy the vegetable crop. To save the crops from animals, the villagers often spread current in this way, due to which this incident has happened.
Same incident happened last year
Last year also, a young man died due to electric shock at the same place. The police reached the spot and are investigating the incident and efforts are being made to find out who spread the current here.
