MP Rajabhau Waje Pushes for Nashik Road to Dwarka Flyover Completion Before Kumbh Mela |
The long-pending demand for a flyover from Nashik Road to Dwarka Circle on National Highway No. 60 has gained momentum after MP Rajabhau Waje met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. Highlighting the growing danger on this congested route, MP Waje urged the Minister to expedite the project and ensure its completion before the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
The flyover project has been a pressing issue for over 15 years, yet it remains stalled. Since his election, MP Waje has been persistent in advocating for this development, raising it during his first parliamentary session and continuously following up with central authorities. During his recent meeting on December 4, Minister Gadkari reportedly expressed a positive response, raising hopes for swift approval and implementation of the project.

MP Waje stressed the urgency of completing the flyover, citing its significance in easing traffic and ensuring safety for commuters. He stated that he is committed to overcoming administrative and logistical hurdles to see the project realized before the Kumbh Mela.
After the meeting, Waje said, “The demand for a flyover on the Nashik Road to Dwarka Circle has been pending for 10 to 15 years. I am determined to resolve the obstacles and ensure its completion before the upcoming Kumbh Mela. Honorable Minister Nitinji Gadkari has shown a positive attitude towards the project, and we will continue to follow up to expedite its progress.”
