News India Live, Digital Desk: MP News: The process of construction of the proposed new railway line for Khargone, Alirajpur, and Khandwa districts of Madhya Pradesh is moving fast. The railway department has started the first phase survey for the Alirajpur-Khargone-Khandwa railway line. This project will be important for the state’s economic, social and industrial progress.
Survey work continues rapidly
The initial walk-three survey of the 221 km long proposed railway line project is going on fast. The project will connect the northern and western railway lines, which will reduce the distance between Nagpur and Khandwa to about 200 kilometers. Modern techniques like drone and DGPS will also be used in survey work. The government has allocated a budget of Rs 6.25 crore on survey work.
Five districts will get big benefit
Five districts like Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Dhar, and Khandwa will directly benefit from this railway line. This railway line will prove to be very useful, especially for tribal areas. The distance of Khandwa-Baroda route will be reduced from 588 km to 388 km, which will increase business and tourism activities.
Promotion of agriculture and industry
The construction of railway line will make it easier to bring agricultural products to the mandis, which will improve the income of farmers. Major mandis (gram, cotton and red chili) of Khargone district will become more accessible through this new railway line. The pace of industrial development in the region will also be faster.
