According to information, Jitendra Goswami, a resident of Mohana, arrived at the Collectorate Office in Gwalior on Wednesday. What was more unusual was that he was carrying a yellow-colored sack on his shoulder.
As soon as the security personnel caught sight of him, they suspected something was wrong and checked the sack. When they opened it, they found the sack contained a large number of applications given in different government offices under PM Awas Yojana.
When Collector Ruchika Chauhan got to know about him, she immediately called him. Jitendra then told the Collector that his wife was suffering from chronic diseases including thyroid and he worked as a labourer. He had been applying for PM Awas Yojana for his own house since 2018 but no hearing had taken place.
He further added that despite being the eligible candidate, he had visited many government offices and submitted the application.
The collector then got complete information from the subordinate employees and got her name added to the scheme, after which a smile appeared on Jitendra’s face.
Jitendra then thanked Gwalior Collector as well as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
