91 Centers Set Up To Procure Wheat At MSP In Indore District | Representative Image
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The state government has commenced wheat procurement across Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. It will procure wheat at at Minimum Support Price (MSP)of Rs 2,600 per quintal (this includes support price bonus). Several centres have been set up to ensure smooth procurement process.
A total of 91 procurement centres have been set up in the district for procurement of wheat.
Proper arrangements have been made for sitting, shade, tents, drinking water etc. for farmers at all the centres. There will also be help desks for free slot booking at the procurement centres. Arrangements are being made for quick payment to farmers.
Collector Asheesh Singh has directed that such arrangements should be ensured in the district so that farmers do not face any kind of problem. A workshop was organised for all the officers and employees from various departments and organisations related to wheat procurement.
Nodal officer and additional collector Gaurav Benal made all concerned officers and employees aware of the rules and instructions of the procurement policy.
Collector Singh has given special instructions that there should not be any delay in payment to the farmers and the whole process should be completed as soon as possible.
All SDMs have been instructed that the nodal officers who have been appointed at the centre should get the physical verification of the necessary facilities and material arrangements at the centres completed within 3 days and send the compliance report to the District Committee.
