Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A government school teacher faked a student’s death to take leave in Madhya Pradesh’s Mauganj district. She was suspended after it was revealed that the student is healthy.
The accused was identified as Hiralal Patel, teacher in a primary school in Chigrika Tola, Mauganj.
According to information, Hiralal wrote in attendance register on November 27 that a class 3 student had passed away and he was going to attend his funeral. He claimed a leave for this. Following this, he left the school.
When the student’s father got the information about the same, he went to the district collector and complained about the teacher. He told the collector that his son is perfectly healthy and the teacher shouldn’t misuse his child for taking a leave at his workplace.
The district collector then informed the school administration. The teacher was then suspended by the authorities and ordered an inquiry.
The incident raised concerns regarding the integrity of educational professionals and misuse of leave policies.
Earlier, a 14-year-old boy consumed poison and died after his teacher allegedly beat him for not completing the home-work in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri on November 26.
Also, a primary school teacher in Minda village of Sardarpur tehsil has been suspended after local officials found him intoxicated in school on November 6.
