Modi’s Bhopal Visit Scheduled For ‘Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan’ On May 31 |
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inspected the preparations at Jamboree Ground for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state capital on May 31.
PM Modi is proposed to arrive here to address ‘Women Empowerment Maha Sammelan’. The event, dedicated to women entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and working women, is being organized to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.
Speaking to the media, CM Yadav stated, “A new record will be created here in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary year of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the central govt and the MP govt together have released a calendar of Ahilya Utsav throughout the year. Devi Ahilyabai contributed in various sectors but have the biggest contribution in women empowerment.
He further added “It is PM Modi’s dream that women become empowered. On May 31, a big program dedicated to all women, including women entrepreneurs, working women and women self-help groups will be held in Bhopal in which around 2 Lakh women will participate.”
Yadav while addressing the topic of equally opportunities said, “There is a strong sense of sensitivity towards women in Madhya Pradesh. We believe in equal opportunities and are committed to women-centric development,” Yadav said, adding that the state is actively supporting women from street vendors to small-scale and heavy industries.
He also highlighted efforts to transform large women’s self-help groups into full-fledged industries as part of the state’s broader vision for women-led economic growth.
